Advertising certainly has changed over the years. Sometimes, not for the better. But in this case, you have to wonder what women in the 50s and 60s had to put up with in America. From the looks of these commercials, housewives were unpaid waitresses who were lucky if they got a smile from their husbands. Usually, it was disdain and abuse for crappy coffee! Amazing.

But that is severely put into context by the advertising on the packet, which aims to raise awareness of the enormous problems many countries still have with land mines.
